Can you elaborate a bit please?

CSML also needs to reference a calendar vocab. I'm currently using a 'stub vocab' for CF-supported calendars which looks a bit like "ndg:360_day:days_since_1990_01_01"

But this is just a placeholder for a real calendar vocab.

Is this something that might help? i.e. is it a calendar dictionary/catalogue I could reference from CSML?

It is proposed to add a "calendarUsed", or similarly named element, to the MOLES date/time types, to allow the specification that the date comes from calendar X rather than the Gregorian default. This would be of type MOLES "dgStructuredKeyword", and so presupposes the existence of at least one supported and relevant vocab, so it sounds like you should get the ones you know of to Roy so they get into the supported list.

While I'm here:  ISO8601 is the standard date/time representation for XML, but, from my limited knowledge, I don't think that it says anything about content. This means that 30-02-2007 is a legal representation, even though it's an impossible date in the non-model world.

Does anyone know different? And has anyone got a copy of the standard itself?

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to wontfix

Nothing available that I know of. Could be built easily enough, but don't think it will ever be implemented in practice, so not much point.
