Installation notes for nappy
============================

Nappy is a package made up entirely of python modules and scripts. Since python is an interpreted
language there is no need to compile any software contained herein. This should run on any
Unix/Linux platform (that has python installed as standard) and will run on Windows and other
operating systems where python is (can be) installed.

If you wish to use the NASA Ames to/from NetCDF routines (Unix/Linux only) you will have to get a copy of
the Climate Data Analysis Tools (CDAT) package from:

<http://esg.llnl.gov/cdat>

This contains installation downloads and instructions on building/installing.
